It’s what you’ve been waiting for - our French farmhouse kitchen reveal! To recap, Jeffrey Court hosted a Renovation Challenge to complete a makeover in just six weeks. We chose our kitchen and it turned out better than I ever could have imagined!! Do you even remember what our kitchen looked like before?
Our main goal for our kitchen renovation was to make it more inviting. We spend so much time in there as a family and it has been such an amazing process to see my design come to life.
We decided to work with the existing footprint of the kitchen which made our renovation ideas within reach and something we could do mostly ourselves.
Before our kitchen was outdated, dark and lacked charm. We now have such an inviting space that is not only bright and fresh, but also functional. We made so many memories renovating this space and I’m proud of our hard work - it is truly my dream kitchen!
With any project, there were some challenges along the way, but we managed to overcome them (see Week 4 Blog Post) and say true to our style and original design board. Here’s a side-by-side before and after for reference.
One of my favorite features of our renovation is the custom island my husband built. I shared more in last week’s blog post here, but this special piece is something I will always cherish knowing how hard my husband worked on it. It complements the kitchen design so well.
