My One Word - HOPE

With the start of the new year, do you make new year’s resolutions? For many years, I would choose a behavior I wanted to change and vow to reverse it. Inevitably, these “resolutions” would be off my radar by February.  Can you relate?

This year, I wanted to try something a little different and move myself beyond the new year’s resolution cycle and pick one word - a word to create a vision for my future. A word to mediate on and be a common thread through my days. Thinking over my one word for 2018, I keep coming back to “hope.”

hope

hōp/

noun

noun: hope; plural noun: hopes

  • feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.
  • a feeling of trust.

As a child of God, the word “hope” really resonates with me — to be expectant and fully trust Him.  I love this verse.

With every season, I begin to more clearly see the Lord’s faithfulness. Entering into the new year, I'm hopeful for the new things to come in both my personal life and business.  I'm putting my HOPE in God as I know my truest joy is in His fellowship and His grace.

Have you ever selected a word for inspiration for the new year to come? If not, I invite you to join me.  I would love to hear the word you have selected in the comments below.

Wishing you a Happy New Year!

Xx,

Amy
