I'm so excited to share the makeover we tackled this weekend with removable wallpaper from Rocky Mountain Decals!
Do you remember the mini-makeover we gave our daughters' room before Christmas? Here was the mood board I put together for inspiration.
We sold the toddler beds from IKEA and decided to incorporate my antique bed from college. My 3 year old had recently added her own "creative art" with ink pen to one wall, but this gave me the idea to do a fun accent wall with wallpaper vs. paint again. We started this project on Saturday and I was amazed how easy it was to install. The wallpaper came in 6 long strips and we simply removed the paper backing and applied the self-adhesive wallpaper. We started on the left and worked out way from top to bottom.
Very few tools were required. Rocky Mountain Decals sent over an item (similar to a credit card) to help the wallpaper adhere and smooth out the air bubbles. I also used a utility knife to cut the wallpaper around our windows and trim. A few other supplies we used were a step stool, tape measure and scissors.
Overall, this was a super easy project. We took our time, but this could have been completed in a hour or so. Ours was just a bit tricky since we had windows to cut around. I love the texture it added to our girls' room! Here's the before and after.
