I know you've heard of indoor artificial plants, but have you ever considered artificial outdoor plants? The idea came to me last year when I was struggling to keep some mini-cedar trees alive. They were expensive and did not do well. My hanging Boston ferns also quickly died. My garden was green, but it lacked larger, more mature foliage. This year, I wanted to explore mixing faux plants and trees with my existing flowers and herbs that I kept through the winter in our breezeway. For my outdoor space, I wanted something that looked real, but wouldn't fade or require any maintenance.
After a little research, I quickly discovered that not all artificial plant manufactures are created equal. I found Nearly Natural and was so impressed that they have a team of designers with years of experience in the live plant industry. I LOVE how they naturally blend with our existing outdoor plants and trees. I shared in Instagram stories and over 80% of you agreed - if you didn't know, you would assume the ferns were real! The best part? They require ZERO maintenance and can be used year after year since they are UV resistant!
The 5' cedar trees are the perfect size for an entryway! I have them on our back pergola area right now, but I love that I could move them to our front porch or outside our garden shed French doors. The green foliage looks and feels so real!
The cedar trees would also transition right into the winter months too (think Christmas lights)! Within a month outside here at Maison de Mings, they have already withstood lots of rain and even a late April snow in Southern Illinois!!
