With the changing of the seasons, do you ever feel the "itch to switch" some of your spaces? I have found the easiest way to update a room on a budget is by swapping out the decor. You can shop your own home and simply move decor from one room for another for a fresh look.
For our bedroom refresh, I wanted a look that would transition from winter to spring so I decided to incorporate cool blue and green tones. I shopped our home and added green pillows from our daughter's room, a vintage chair from our den and a table/lamp from our dining room.
Moving things around always sparks creatively and I love feeling of walking into a newly designed space :) Since I changed up our pillows, I was thrilled with the Urban Farmhouse Market reached out about gifting me a chenille pillow. It was the perfect addition!
I also swapped out our artwork with pieces I had been storing until I found the right spot. We added a vintage print I found last fall at an estate sale and I love how it complements our DIY vintage dresser. To incorporate more greens and blue tones, I added in a faux plant in a French confit pot and books from Provence.
I also added the French vintage artwork that we found at Mellwood Antiques & Interiors (one of our favorite antique malls EVER) in Louisville, Kentucky over the holidays.
It complements our artwork perfectly and I love how it brought out the vintage finishes in the room as well. As an anchor piece, it ties the room together.
I would love to hear your thoughts below on this bedroom refresh! Have you considered shopping your own home before for a new look? It's amazing what a little creativity can do to help achieve an entirely different look in a space!
As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
