French Farmhouse Fall Porch

It may be 90 degrees in Southern Illinois, but the leaves are falling and we are ready for Fall! This was the first season to decorate our front porch and I wanted to share how we incorporated French Farmhouse style.

We started by picking up some pumpkins from a local farm and decided to keep the color palette neutral.

Our girls love to help and the little white pumpkins were the perfect size and not too heavy for them. We also added fresh white mums that our oldest daughter sold for a ballet fundraiser. They are just starting to bloom, but I've had several followers say to keep them hydrated. We placed the mums in galvanized buckets, vintage olive baskets, and a large rattan basket from Target. I love the visual variety each container adds.

To transition from summer to Fall, I decided to keep our Kimberly Queen ferns. They have lasted all summer and required very little attention from me - only brand I will buy!

This year, we also added corn stalks straight from my dad's field. They were the perfect touch to welcome Fall.

Our girls are loving the changing of the seasons!
