With the changing of seasons, do you ever feel the "itch to switch" some of your spaces? I have found the easiest way to update a bedroom on a budget is by swapping out the decor and bedding. You can shop your own home and simply move decor from one room for another for a fresh look.
For our bedroom refresh, I wanted a look that would transition from summer to fall so I decided to incorporate warm tones and lots of cozy texture. I shopped our home and added some euro pillows from our daughter's room, a vintage trunk, and lamp from our living room.
I love the truck as a nightstand and that it doubles for storage of extra blankets and pillows. It is the perfect height and there is plenty of room for my vintage lamp and Young Living diffuser. We made the switch to essential oils years ago and I love diffusing lavender at night!
Moving things around always sparks creatively and I love feeling of walking into a newly designed space. One new item I added for our bedroom refresh was a handmade block print quilt from India. I got the 108"x108" in Dohar and could not be happier with the quality! Isn't it beautiful?
Since I changed up our bedding, I decided to bring in our buffalo pillow from Petticoat Junction. It was the perfect addition! I fell in love with this pillow when we were in Arizona over Christmas, but I knew it wouldn't fit in my suitcase so I found it online and had it shipped.
Several of the items in our bedroom were found on Facebook Marketplace such as the vintage chair, trunk, and chandelier. Our cinnamon linen waffle blanket was a Magic Linen find and it is one of my favorites - it is so cozy and soft! Several other similar bedroom items can be found in my Amazon store.
I would love to hear your thoughts below on this bedroom refresh! Have you considered shopping your own home before for a new look? It's amazing what a little creativity can do to help achieve an entirely different look in a space! If you have any questions, please reach out @maisondemings.
